Egyptian Cotton Gifts and Souvenirs in Aswan

If you are visiting Aswan and want a gift that is genuinely Egyptian, Darwish Cotton is where tour groups stop on the road between Philae Temple and Aswan. Everything in the store is made in our own factory in Alexandria. The Darwish Cotton brand was founded in 1914, and we have manufactured Egyptian cotton since 1990, so what you take home is made by the maker, not resold by a trader.

Our signature souvenir is the sun-print T-shirt: the design is plain indoors and bursts into colour in sunlight, and our team demonstrates it in the store. Around it, across three floors, you will find Egyptian cotton scarves, towels, bags and socks, bed sets from 800 to 1200 thread count, table cloths and hand-made khaimia upstairs, and galabias, abayas and an embroidery workshop in the basement, where you can watch hieroglyph designs being embroidered.
